What each one means in practice
Auto rental damage
The entire cost has to go on this card. A partial payment does not qualify.
Primary when rented for commercial or business purposes; secondary when rented for personal reasons. Vehicles over $125,000 MSRP excluded; rentals over 31 consecutive days excluded.
Lost or damaged baggage
The limit is per person rather than per trip, so a family of four on one booking can reach $12,000 rather than $3,000.
Sub-limits apply: $500 for jewelry and watches and $500 for cameras and electronics. Those come out of the total rather than sitting on top of it.
Baggage delay
The limit is per person rather than per trip, so a family of four on one booking can reach $1,200 rather than $300.
It pays $100 a day for up to 3 days, not $300 at once.
Baggage has to be delayed more than 6 hours, measured from when you arrive rather than when the bag was checked.
